Plot Summary
The people of Perizzi have survived the battlemage war, but their future is looking darker than ever.

About the Author
Stephen Aryan was born in 1977 and was raised and educated in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear. He is the award-winning fantasy author of the Age of Darkness and Age of Dread trilogies published by Orbit books.

Bloodmage Audiobook mp3 was so exciting. it introduces us to new characters but also reunites us with a couple of old ones. A strong continuation to the series, though it can also be read as a standalone. The story and the plot have very little connection to the first novel, although reading the first will help the reader in understanding the fantasy world created by Stephen in better terms.
But this audiobook also has many things different compare with the first one, let me say that straight away. Where Battlemage was about the war, frontline fighting, and epic magic battles between skilled users, Bloodmage has a much narrower focus, reading more along the lines of a thriller. With magical murders, assassination plots, and gang-family disagreements all taking place in one city, Aryan has managed to fine-tune his approach to storytelling.
The narration was very good. Addis created a perfect voice for the personalities of the characters. He has superb accents and articulation, spoke clearly at a good pace, and took a book that was at 100% great and made it 200% great (which is exactly what the narrator should do! Add to the experience, not take away from it.)
