Dark Haven Audiobook is the third story in the stunning fantasy series – Chronicles of the Necromancer – from Gail Z Martin. This audiobook follows the break-out success of The Summoner and The Blood King. The entire novel just felt like an over-extended ending to the first book that was cut out at the last moment in order to make a sequel. However, I’m happy to say that Dark Haven is a massive improvement over not just the second book, but a bold and much more engaging direction for the series.
Once Tris wins back the throne and destroys the Obsidian King, he realizes that the hard work is just beginning. Although Jared the Usurper held the throne for less than a year, his reign took a terrible toll on Margolan. Jared’s iron-fisted rule displaced so many farmers and burned so many of the crops in retaliation that the country is in danger of famine.
But the greatest danger is Lord Curane, a powerful nobleman who supported Jared. Curane has retreated to his fortified holdings along with the blood mages and traitorous generals who supported Jared. War is inevitable, and Tris knows that Nargi and Trevath will be watching for an opportunity to invade should the battle go badly for him.
Plot Summary
In Dark Haven, the effects of Jared the Usurper’s reign of terror strike at the stability of the Winter Kingdoms. Undead forces align against Lord Jonmarc Vahanian of Dark Haven in a struggle for power between mortals and the vayash moru. Some among the vayash moru are unhappy that a mortal lord is returning to Dark Haven. Jonmarc must win the trust of Dark Haven’s mortal residents while playing a dangerous game of politics with its vayash moru. As everyone keeps reminding him, the last four lords died young.Throughout the Winter Kingdoms, magic has become a dangerous and unpredictable force.
The Flow, a river of magical e nergy, was badly damaged when Arontala ripped the Soulcatcher orb from beneath Dark Haven years ago. Now, the Flow is unstable, threatening the lives and sanity of the mages who draw on it for power. As King Martris Drayke prepares for his wedding, he must also prepare for war against rebels still loyal to Jared. Isencroft is on the brink of civil war over the looming reality of a joint kingdom.
Only one thing is certain-the Winter Kingdoms will be changed forever, and innocence is the first casualty.

Dark Haven Audiobook mp3 is a fantasy novel set in the fictional land of the Winter Kingdoms where there are Mages, Empowered Kings, and spirits more than able to affect their environment.
Author Gail Z. Martin also elaborates more into the lore of the Winter Kingdoms. She takes a very well realized universe that she’d established in the previous novels and greatly expands on them. Such as customs for ceremonies and proper mannerisms and various trades from other neighboring countries.
The main characters are highly likeable, even the women in it are no mere damsels in distress and are quite willing to pick up a sword and fight having been trained from childhood for war. The vampire characters are very likable and give you that real goosebump feel thanks to her brilliant descriptions. Much better than the first two in the series, the third is excellent.
