Death Mage Audiobook is the fourth book in the best-selling urban fantasy series – Prof. Croft by the author Brad Magnarella. Croft’s life is getting much more complex in this book as truths he has believed all his life are exposed as perhaps not as valid as he thought.
This audiobook hits the ground running and doesn’t let up. After all the lumps, beatings, and tough luck he’s had, it was wonderful to see Everson finally get some help. Despite everything that happens, he remains the brave, charming, wonderful nice guy he’s always been.
Death Mage has many similarities to Dark Vadar and Luke Skywalker; father and son battles, battles to save the world, family lineage revealed, sons hidden from evil forces for protection, and the untrained potential of a son.
If you like occult action, spell-crackling suspense, and moments of heart, heroism, and all-out laughter, you’ll love Prof Croft!
Plot Summary
Playing fast and loose with the Order’s rules has finally caught up with me.
Sentenced to hunt down a cagey insurgent known as the Death Mage, I’m not feeling overly optimistic. Wizards with far more experience have tried and, well…died.
But overmatched or not, I want this assignment. The Death Mage killed my mother – he might also be my father.
I can’t lose my head, though. The mage wields an evil, mind-warping magic. A power that undermines his victims’ sanity while pledging their souls to an ancient being and devourer of worlds.
How would I even know if his magic was corrupting me?

Audiobook Review
Prof. Croft: Death Mage Audiobook mp3 has a good wizard story where the main character is well developed. It’s nice to have the main character not overpowered and usually out of his league.
Again, we have excellent proofing and editing, great plotting and pacing, tons of very exciting action, and a major change in not only Croft’s worldview but in his personal relationships.
The author – Brad Magnarella, is a great storyteller, his style is fun and easy to follow, and, most of all, he has a talent for plot twists and for keeping his readers in the dark until the last moment. I also love the fact that the author doesn’t spend unnecessary time rehashing what has happened in past books.
About the narration, I really liked the performance. James Patrick Cronin has a good voice to listen to and brings a sense of pace to the book that I really enjoyed. He is the best narrator I have personally listened to! I think his voice also sounds great for the character of the Prof Croft series.
If you have listened to the first 3 and aren’t sure trust me you will want to listen to this 4th audiobook. Can’t wait to see where it goes after this!
